7 Songs Meghan Trainor Wrote for Other Artists

Fact: Meghan Trainor has written some smash songs. From “All About That Bass” to “Lips Are Movin” to “Me Too,” Meghan has the ability to get any song stuck in your head.

This will be proven when she takes the stage to perform her Billboard Top 5 Hit “No” at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, May 22 at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT on ABC!

And while she’s written a ton of hits for herself, you might not realize that Meghan’s given other artists just as much success. From country to pop to R&B, Meghan Trainor is kind of a songwriting genius.

7 Songs Meghan Trainor Wrote For Other Artists

1

Fifth Harmony – Sledge Hammer

“Sledge Hammer” was Fifth Harmony’s first Top 40 hit, and a Harmonizer favorite. The girls say working with Meghan was, “amazing.” (We saw them reunite during BBMAs rehearsals, and it was adorable!)

2

Fifth Harmony – Brave Honest Beautiful

And it must have really been amazing, because not only did she help write “Brave Honest Beautiful,” but she’s even featured on the track. Also if you went to The Reflection Tour, how inspiring was this song live?

3

Jennifer Lopez – Ain’t Your Mama

Meghan originally wrote “Ain’t Your Mama” for her Thank You album, but after it didn’t fit the vibe she texted it to Jennifer Lopez who immediately fell in love. So much in fact that her son made her put it on repeat.

4

Sabrina Carpenter – Can’t Blame a Girl For Trying

The Girl Meets World star delivers this song so perfectly you would think that Sabrina Carpenter wrote it herself.

5

Jason Derulo – Painkiller

Not only is Meghan Trainor featured on this track, but Jason Derulo told MTV that Meghan talked him into letting her sing his name. Meghan is all of us.

6

Rascal Flatts – I Like The Sound of That

Meghan co-wrote “I Like The Sound of That” and it went to No. 1 for the country trio. Which makes Meghan Trainor a No.1 selling country songwriter, mic drop.

7

Lauren Alaina – Road Less Traveled

Speaking of country, Meghan co-wrote “Road Less Traveled” with county music cutie, Lauren Alaina before she even released “All About That Bass.”

And don’t forget to tune in to the show on Sunday, May 21 on ABC!
