One Direction Could Break a BBMAs Record in 2016

One Direction might be on hiatus, but the massive success of their fifth studio album Made in the A.M. and the On The Road Again Tour earned them two nods at this year’s Billboard Music Awards for Top Duo/Group and Top Touring Artist.

1D could even break a BBMAs record this year.

Destiny’s Child and One Direction are tied with two wins each in the Top Duo/Group category. Destiny’s Child won in 2000 and 2001, while One Direction won in 2013 and 2015. One Direction is a finalist in 2016 and a victory will give them the most all-time wins in this category.
